The taskforce began operating in November 2021, and the mayor said the program was already making a difference for the city's jobseekers.
"I'm proud to say the taskforce is achieving some great outcomes for local job seekers and businesses," Cr Power said.
"It's putting local people into work, while filling vacancies and easing the burden on employers.
"More than 100 people being placed in work is a great outcome."
Data from the National Skills Commission shows that the quarterly unemployment rate in Logan has trended down over the past 12 months, from 8.8 per cent in the March 2021 quarter to 7.7 per cent in the March 2022 quarter.
The same data shows city-wide unemployment peaked at 9.2 per cent in the September 2021 quarter.
Jimboomba and surrounding suburbs out-performed this, with the unemployment rate in Jimboomba for March 2022 sitting at 5.2 per cent, down from a peak of 6.4 per cent in June 2021.
Over the same time frame the labour force in Logan, which includes both employed and unemployed workers, grew by 8.8 per cent from 164,595 to 179,131 which the council says is the highest in the region.
In Jimboomba the labour force growth was on par with the wider Logan area.
The council says the taskforce has established a network that links businesses and job seekers with employment service providers, training organisations and youth organisations.
A local job search website, loganjobs.com.au, has also been created, and general manager at Meadowbrook-based Aquaknect said the site was a big help for the business.
"The taskforce has been sensational, relieving a lot of the pressure for us in finding new and suitable staff," Mr Glover said.
"It's been hard trying to get people. They come and then they disappear, or they don't turn up to begin with.
"With loganjobs.com.au, we picked one new employee up right away. Others came on board soon after."
Aquaknect has filled five positions using the website, and other Logan businesses such as Securelux, Munster Services Group, Black Label Blending and Residential Scaffold have also been touted by the council as taskforce success stories.
Future plans for the taskforce include increasing engagement with local schools and actively monitoring job vacancies to assist job seekers.
