The course, which started in October last year, has fewer than 200 spots left before it reaches its 720 rider cap.
Sergeant Rob Duncan said he organised the course in an attempt to reduce the number of motorcycle crashes on local roads, and wanted more riders to think about how they ride.
"We see it with things like lane and edge filtering," Sergeant Duncan said.
"Why would you put yourself in a position where someone else has a say over what happens to you?
"Road positioning is another big issue. A lot of riders take racing lines through corners and cut it close to the line.
"How often do you see oncoming traffic coming around the corner and being slightly over the line?
"The road is not a race track. It's too easy for your safety to be taken away."
Riders are engage in practical training and theory sessions, participate in a supervised ride through the Scenic Rim and get a first aid kit along with instruction on how to use it.
Riders can also take part in an optional, anonymous study conducted by the Department of Transport and Main Roads, which funded the program.
Sergeant Duncan said the study would evaluate long-term results of the program, and was completely separate from the Queensland Police Service.
"It would be nice to see the results in a few years," he said.
"Hopefully participants will be less likely to be involved in crashes."
The police sergeant said anybody from novice riders to those who had been on bikes for years were welcome, and the lessons taught were well-worth the $50 fee.
"Come along if you've got a bike," Sergeant Duncan said.
"It's a program for everybody, and it's impossible to attend and not get something out of it even if it's just a refresher.
"It's well worth it."
